During a protest BJP MP Harsh Mahajan’s health deteriorated

Rajya Sabha MP from Himachal Pradesh Harsh Mahajan suddenly fell ill in Shimla on Saturday. He had reached the DC Office in Shimla to participate in a Bharatiya Janata Party protest. The protest was organized against the alleged delay in the formation of BDC Chairman and Zila Parishad Chairman.
After the protest ended, Harsh Mahajan spoke to the media and targeted the state’s Congress government. After this, when BJP MLA Balbir Verma was talking to journalists, Harsh Mahajan was standing nearby. During this time, he suddenly felt dizzy and began to stagger. BJP leaders and workers present at the spot immediately supported him, preventing him from falling.
Immediately after the incident, he was taken in an HRTC taxi parked outside the DC Office to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla. Doctors at the hospital have begun his medical examination. According to initial information, Harsh Mahajan suffered a syncope attack. His condition is now stable. The MP has now been shifted to the CCU. It should be noted that syncope, in common language, is referred to as ‘fainting’ or ‘feeling dizzy and collapsing’. It occurs due to reduced blood flow to the brain. The person usually recovers afterward.(UPDATED ON 27TH JUNE 2026)
