Union Secretary, DAHD, Govt. of India visited DUVASU, Mathura

Naresh Pal Gangwar, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Government of India, visited Uttar Pradesh Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go Anusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU), Mathura
During the visit, the Secretary reviewed the University’s ongoing academic, research, clinical, and livestock development activities. Shri Gangwar reviewed key facilities including the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex (TVCC), the Livestock Farm Complex (LFC), various advanced laboratories, and instructional facilities. The Secretary also visited the University’s specialized Goat Unit, where he took a keen interest in the advanced breeding and reproductive biotechnology programmes.
Shri Gangwar also chaired an interactive session at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Auditorium with faculty members, scientists, students, and researchers. The discussions centred around animal health, dairy development, entrepreneurship, and mapping out future growth opportunities in the sector.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abhijit Mitra highlighted DUVASU’s contributions to research and skill development. The visit successfully strengthened collaboration between the University and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, aligning institutional research with national livestock development goals.(UPDATED ON 18TH JUNE 2026)
