Six rebel MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT) met the Lok Sabha Speaker, will merge with Shinde’s Shiv Sena

All six rebel MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT) met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The MPs submitted a letter to the Speaker. In the letter, the MPs clearly stated that they are merging with the Shiv Sena (Shinde) faction. The MPs wrote that senior UBT leaders want to merge the party with Congress. Therefore, they are leaving the party.

The letter states that Shiv Sena (UBT) has deviated from its ideology. The rebel leaders wrote that senior leaders want to merge the party with Congress, and therefore they are leaving it. They also wrote that all six MPs are merging into the Shiv Sena (Shinde) group. In the letter, they requested the Speaker to change their seating arrangement in the Lok Sabha so that they can sit with Shiv Sena (Shinde).

the six claimed senior Thackeray Sena leaders had plans to eventually merge with the Congress, part of the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi bloc and the ex-chief minister’s ally. This ‘merger’, they said, was the reason for their jumping ship.
