President Droupadi Murmu Congratulates Commonwealth Games 2026 Medallists

President Droupadi Murmu has congratulated Sachin Siwach on winning Gold Medal in Men’s 60 kilogram Boxing event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026. In a social media post, the President said that his resolute display and composure in a fiercely contested final have earned him a well-deserved place atop the podium. She added that Sachin Siwach has given the nation another proud moment by making the Tricolour soar high through his outstanding achievement.

The President also congratulated Ankush Panghal on winning Gold Medal in the Men’s 80 kilogram Boxing event. President Murmu said that his display in the ring has earned him the highest honour and given the nation yet another occasion to celebrate. She noted that watching the Tricolour fly high at the medal ceremony filled every Indian with pride and joy. Narender Berwal also congratulated by President on winning Silver Medal in Men’s plus 90 kilogram Boxing event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026. President Murmu said that Narender Berwal represented India with distinction in a demanding contest and delivered a commendable performance.

The President wished the athletes continued success in the future. President also congratulated Gulveer Singh on winning Bronze Medal in Men’s 5000 meter event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026.
