Govt Launches Nationwide Cloud & AI Skilling Initiative

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Cultus Education have announced the launch of a nationwide cloud and Artificial Intelligence skilling initiative in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The programme aims to provide foundational AI and cloud literacy to 1.5 lakh learners through AWS digital training content and to offer intensive, job-ready training to 10,000 participants through the AWS re/Start program.

Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Jayant Chaudhary said the initiative reflects the vision of Viksit Bharat, where access to opportunities is not determined by geography or background. He noted that as India moves towards becoming a global hub for innovation, technology and talent, it is essential that country’s youth in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns also get the opportunity to equipped themselves with the skills needed for the jobs of the future.

The initiative will cover all States and Union Territories, with special focus on youth in underserved communities. Through a fully online model, learners can access AWS digital training content and, based on their readiness, progress to AWS re/Start for instructor-led training in cloud infrastructure, security, networking and AI fundamentals.
