TMC MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar Lodges Complaint Against Kalyan Banerjee

Trinamool Congress MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla lodging a complaint against fellow party MP Kalyan Banerjee, accusing him of “insulting and misogynistic behavior.”

The MP from Barasat constituency alleged that Kalyan Banerjee repeatedly harassed her verbally inside the Lok Sabha. Kakoli also accused the Serampore MP of misogyny. In her letter, she claimed that Kalyan holds a discriminatory attitude toward women members of the Lok Sabha. Therefore, Kakoli believes that Kalyan should be punished in this matter.(UPDATED ON 28TH MAY 2026)
