PM Modi Pays Floral Tribute To Mahatma Gandhi In Bishkek

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with the ‘Friends of India’ in Bishkek on the first day of his two-day visit to Kyrgyzstan. Four delegations working with India in various fields, including Yoga and Manas Academy, were present on the occasion.

After this, Prime Minister Modi paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue situated at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Park in Bishkek.

The Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings today with leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states. These include meetings with the Heads of State of Russia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.

Tomorrow, on the second and final day of his visit to Kyrgyzstan, PM Modi will address the 26th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.(updated on 31st August 2026)
