Poetry of Gulzar: An Enchanting Evening of Melodies and Verses

Delhi Shayari Club hosted a mesmerizing evening celebrating the timeless poetry, lyrical brilliance and cinematic legacy of legendary poet, lyricist and filmmaker Gulzar at Sector Noida, marking the occasion of his birthday.
The evening brought together poetry and music lovers for an immersive tribute to one of India’s most celebrated literary voices. Gulzar’s words—known for their extraordinary ability to capture the nuances of love, longing, memory and life—have transcended generations and continue to resonate deeply with audiences across the world.
The celebration featured some of Gulzar Sahab’s most cherished compositions, including “Dil Dhoondta Hai,” “Mera Kuchh Samaan” and “Phir Wahi Raat Hai’ taking the audience on a nostalgic journey through his unforgettable poetry and songs. The evening also explored his remarkable contribution to cinema, with conversations around iconic films such as Aandhi and Ijaazat, whose stories, dialogues, music and poetry continue to remain timeless.
The musical performances by accomplished singers Subhamoy Das, Sushant and Ramesh Kumar added another dimension to the evening, keeping the audience enthralled as Gulzar’s words came alive through music.
