Meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee Held at the Ministry of Rural Development

The meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Rural Development was held today at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Minister of Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

The meeting was attended by Kalyan Banerjee, Dharambir Singh and Smt. Anita Nagarsingh Chouhan, Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha), along with other members of the Committee and senior officers of the Ministry.

Narendra Bhushan, Secretary, Department of Land Resources, and Rohit Kansal, Secretary, Rural Development, apprised the Committee of the progress and achievements made in promoting the use of Official Language Hindi in their respective Departments. They highlighted the Ministry’s continued efforts to promote Hindi in official correspondence and its steady progress in this direction
The meeting was also attended by eminent Hindi scholars nominated by various institutions as special invitees, including Shri Girish Pankaj, Shri Indra Kumar Jain, Shri Devi Prasad Mishra, Advocate Dr. B. Madhu, Dr. Narendra Kumar Sant, Smt. Kathy Rohulupuii and Shri Rajneesh Mohanot.(updated on 18th August 2026)
