Vice-President flags off Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally of MPs

Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan today flagged off the Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally with Members of Parliament and other public representatives at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, commemorating 150 years of the National Song, Vande Mataram.Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Shri Virendra Kumar, G. Kishan Reddy, Kiren Rijiju and Shri Jitendra Singh along with Members of Parliament, and other public representatives, participated in the rally.

The rally proceeded from Bharat Mandapam to Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, carrying the message of national pride, unity and citizen participation.

Addressing the gathering, he said Vande Mataram transformed love for the motherland into a national duty and became a powerful expression of the spirit of India’s freedom struggle. He recalled how its immortal words inspired countless freedom fighters with courage, sacrifice and hope.(updated on 12th August 2026)
