BJP MPs Protest Over Alleged JPSC Paper Leak, Demand CBI Probe

Several BJP MPs, including those from Jharkhand, staged a protest at the Parliament premises over the alleged paper leak of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination, demanding a CBI inquiry into the case and the resignation of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Meanwhile, Union Minister and BJP leader Sanjay Seth also demanded a CBI probe into the matter. Speaking to Akashvani News outside Parliament House, Mr Seth said the Congress should seek the resignation of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and withdraw its support from the JMM-led state government.

On the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, Mr Seth said detailed deliberations on the legislation continued late last night in the Lok Sabha and will continue today as well. He emphasised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfils all his commitments, assuring that the promises made to the nation’s youth will be delivered.

BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahato has alleged that the JMM-Congress government in Jharkhand is involved in deep corruption. Endorsing the demand for a CBI inquiry into the alleged JPSC paper leak case, Mr Mahato stated that such incidents have become a routine occurrence in the state. (UPDATED ON 29TH JULY 2026)
