Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu resigned

Ravneet Singh Bittu has resigned from the post of Minister of State for Railways. On the advice of Prime Minister Modi, President Murmu accepted his resignation.
. Bittu became a member of the Union Council of Ministers after becoming a Rajya Sabha MP and was appointed as the Minister of State for Railways. His term as a Rajya Sabha MP ended in June 2026, and he was not sent back to the Upper House.
The official statement said that, on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the President accepted Bittu’s resignation from the Union Council of Ministers with immediate effect.
Ravneet Singh Bittu had been a member of the Union Council of Ministers since 2024. After being relieved of this responsibility, he may now focus on the Punjab elections scheduled for next year. Ravneet Singh, the grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, joined the BJP in 2024 and lost the Lok Sabha election.
