PM Modi Arrives In Seychelles On Three-Day Official Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Victoria for his three-day visit to Seychelles. In a social media post, PM Modi appreciated the warm welcome extended by the President of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, at the airport. The Prime Minister said that Seychelles is a valued maritime partner and a close friend in the Indian Ocean. PM Modi said he is looking forward to a productive visit aimed at further strengthening the longstanding ties between India and Seychelles and enhancing cooperation for the benefit of the people of both nations.

Prime Minister Modi also thanked the Indian diaspora for the warm welcome at the airport. He said that the manner in which the Indian diaspora has preserved and celebrated the cultures of different parts of India is truly appreciable.

Prime Minister Modi will be the Guest of Honour at the celebrations marking the historic 50th anniversary of Seychelles’ Independence. He is the first Indian Prime Minister to attend the National Day celebrations of Seychelles.(UPDATED ON 27TH JUNE 2026)
