“The world is round; everyone will be held accountable too

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari strongly attacked the previous government during his address in the Assembly. In his speech, the Chief Minister demanded accountability for actions taken against him in the past and said that he would continue to follow the path shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There will be support for all and development for all. Everyone will also be held accountable.

Suvendu Adhikari said, “You expelled me from the Assembly five times. You kept me out of the Assembly for 11 months. As the Leader of the Opposition, 102 cases were filed against me. Should I listen to your wisdom? I had to go to court 108 times. I was not allowed to participate in the Ram Navami procession. Hargobind Das and Chandan Das died in Murshidabad, and I was not allowed to go there. That is when I said that the world is round. Whatever you do, the people will teach you a lesson. We will continue to follow the path shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There will be support for all and development for all. Everyone will also be held accountable.”

Suvendu Adhikari further said, “If Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam deserves respect as a patriot, then he will certainly receive it. There will be no Mughal-Pathan names.”

The Chief Minister said, “We have decided to apprehend illegal Bangladeshis and hand them over to the BSF. They will not be given prison food. Illegal Bangladeshis are waiting in 12 holding centers. Why did you not give land to the BSF? Fencing will be installed across a 600-kilometer area. Those who want to flee before that can do so. There have been many scams. Not a single thief will be spared. Since this morning, I saw on TV that gold was recovered from the house of a friend of the Bidhannagar chairman. A bill will be brought in this session to confiscate property. Homeless people will be accommodated.”(UPDATED ON 23RD JUNE 2026)
