“Exports increased 35 times and India became the second-largest mobile manufacturer

Addressing the Indian diaspora in Paris, the capital of France, PM Modi highlighted the achievements of his 12-year government in India. He said that when this period is reviewed 50 or 100 years from now, it will be recognized that India’s aspirations drove this era. Today’s India is building the entire ecosystem of the future. India is simultaneously investing in every sector that will determine the direction of the coming decades.

PM Modi said this is a new era of India’s aspirations. Where electricity has reached, people no longer want just electricity—they want smart living. Where railways have reached, people want high-speed connectivity. Where highways have reached, people want world-class expressways. Where the internet has reached, people want leadership in AI and digital innovation. Today, the people of India want to take their lives to the next level, and they are equally determined to take India to the next level.

The Prime Minister further said, “I have come to France at a time when our government has just completed 12 years in office. Serving the country continuously for 12 years as an elected Prime Minister has been a great privilege in my life. This is the strength of India’s democracy, which enabled a tea seller to reach this position.”

PM Modi stated that India’s exports have increased 35-fold over the past 12 years. The number of mobile manufacturing units in the country has grown 100 times, making India the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturing nation. Due to this rapid progress and development, India has now become the fastest-growing major economy.

The Prime Minister added, “Today, India’s story is not just a story of economic progress. It is also a story of social transformation. Over the last 12 years, 250 million people have come out of poverty in the country.”

PM Modi said that among the achievements of these 12 years, there is one that cannot be measured by any statistic or number: the self-confidence of 1.4 billion Indians. Today’s India and its youth are dreaming big. India’s farmers are moving forward with new possibilities. Indian women are demonstrating new leadership.
