Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Unnat Krishi Mahotsav

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today inaugurated the three-day Unnat Krishi Mahotsav at Dashehra Maidan in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. The festival running from 11th to 13th April, features live demonstrations of modern technologies including drones, solar pumps, and micro irrigation. Experts will interact directly with farmers on 20 topics across four seminar halls, covering subjects ranging from the use of AI in agriculture to integrated farming.
Over 300 exhibitors are participating in the festival and more than 50 thousand farmers are expected to attend. The closing ceremony will be held on 13th April in the presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The national-level festival, organised on the initiative of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, was also attended by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), along with agricultural scientists from across the country.
Earliar, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav warmly received Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the State Hangar in Bhopal on Saturday. After a brief halt at the State Hangar, Union Defence Minister Shri Singh, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan departed for Raisen by an Indian Army helicopter.
Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Vishvas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backwards Classes and Minority Welfare Smt. Krishna Gaur, Bhopal Lok Sabha MP Alok Sharma, MLA Vishnu Khatri, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, District President Ravindra Yati, along with public representatives and senior officials, also presented bouquets to welcome Union Minister Shri Rajnath Singh.(UPDATED ON 11TH APRIL 2026)
