Periasamy Kumaran appointed High Commissioner to UK

Indian Foreign Service Officer Periasamy Kumaran has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom. Ministry of External Affairs announced this today.

Mr Kumaran, a 1992 batch Indian Foreign Service Officer, is currently serving as the Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly. (UPDATED ON 27TH MARCH 2026)
