NHAI Invites Applications for Summer Internship Programme 2026

To nurture future professionals for the development of National Highway infrastructure, NHAI has invited applications for the two-month ‘Summer Internship Programme 2026’. Scheduled between May and July 2026, the programme builds upon the successful implementation of the NHAI Winter Internship Programme and the ongoing six-month internship programme, which aims at providing students with meaningful, hands-on experience within India’s largest National Highway development ecosystem. NHAI has now expanded its ‘Internship Programme’ to include multiple disciplines along with the civil engineering domain.

Under the expanded framework, the Summer Internship Programme will be tentatively scheduled from 4th May to 5th July 2026, depending upon the academic calendar, and will include a wide range of engineering and technical disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and Data Science/Artificial Intelligence, and related disciplines. In addition, the programme has been extended to non-technical streams, including Law (BA LLB), Commerce and Sciences (BA/B.Com/B.Sc), Management (MBA in HR, Finance, Marketing), Mass Communication, and Library Science, thereby broadening participation across diverse academic backgrounds. Selected interns will be stationed at designated NHAI field offices or at NHAI Headquarters in New Delhi, under the mentorship of experienced NHAI officials.(UPDATED ON 26TH MARCH 2026)
