LPG CYLINER booking time has been increased from 21 days to 25 days.

The central government has taken a major step to curb the hoarding of LPG cylinders. On Monday, the government extended the booking period from 21 days to 25 days to prevent hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders.

Amid ongoing tensions in the Gulf countries, rumors are circulating about LPG cylinder hoarding. There have been some instances where people who previously booked LPG cylinders within 55 days have now started booking them within 15 days.

Due to this government decision, no customer will be able to book a new LPG cylinder before 25 days. Once the situation returns to normal, the old rule may be reinstated.

It should be noted that the government, along with all oil and gas companies, are informing their customers that there is no shortage of any type of fuel in the country. There is sufficient supply of petrol, diesel, and LPG gas in the country.(UPDATED ON 9TH MARCH 2026)
