Digvijay Singh dismissed speculation about his retirement from politics.

Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has dismissed speculation that he is retiring from politics. Singh said on Sunday that he has only requested the party not to nominate him for a third term in the Rajya Sabha after his current term ends. He added that he will continue to serve the party until his last breath.

Digvijaya Singh also clarified the situation regarding the video shared on social media. He said it was a video of a retired bank manager couple from Odisha who are traveling across the country and found the idea interesting, so he shared it.

When asked about his stand in case Congress asked him to continue in Rajya Sabha, Digvijay Singh avoided commenting directly, calling it a hypothetical situation.(updated on 8th March 2026)
