Farmers are the backbone of the economy

President Draupadi Murmu addressed the nation on the eve of Republic Day.She described farmers as the backbone of the country’s economy. The President said that generations of hardworking farmers have made our country self-sufficient in food grains.In her address to the nation, Murmu said, “We, the people of India, are going to celebrate Republic Day with great enthusiasm, both at home and abroad.
