EC Revises Schedule For Special Intensive Revision

The Election Commission of India has revised the schedule for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in 12 States and Union Territories. As per the revised notification, the Commission extended the deadline for enumeration to 11th December.

The draft electoral roll will now be published on 16th December, and the final electoral Roll will be published on 14th February next year. The SIR exercise is currently underway in Uttar Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.
