National Commission for Minorities Celebrates Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi

Welcoming members of the Muslim community to the programme, Joint Secretary, NCM, Dr. Atya Nand spoke about the life and teachings of Prophet Mohammad and highlighted the positive transformation he brought to society. He emphasized the relevance of his teachings in promoting compassion, mutual respect, harmony and responsible conduct in society.

Secretary, NCM, Shri Suchindra Misra, reiterated the role of the National Commission for Minorities in ensuring that constitutional and statutory safeguards for minorities are effectively implemented. He emphasized the importance of the social harmony and brotherhood in extending the development of the country.

In her remarks, Vice Chairperson Smt. S. Munawari Begum spoke about the life and teachings of Prophet Mohammad and the enduring lessons they offer to society. She underlined the importance of values including of saving girl child. She said that the life of Prophet Mohammad and the lessons drawn from his teachings encourage members of the community to contribute positively to nation-building and discharge their responsibilities as citizens.
