Rahul Gandhi today said that the security forces brutally beat the students. He questioned why this was done. He said that the NEET paper leak had affected 75 million students and their families across the country. He added that no one had been punished in the NEET case.

In a press conference, Rahul said, “When the policemen came to remove me, they whispered in my ear, ‘Remove the government.’ They dragged me, my mouth started bleeding, and I was punched two or three times, but Dharmendra Pradhan will have to go.”

Rahul said that more than 152 paper leaks had occurred so far, affecting 75 million students, yet no one responsible for leaking the papers had been punished.

Rahul said, “In the last 10 years, 152 exam papers have been leaked in the country. In none of these cases has anyone been punished. The Government of India’s education budget is ₹1.4 lakh crore. Indian families spend ₹1.32 lakh crore on the NEET exam. The cost of NEET exceeds the country’s education budget.”

During the presentation, Rahul displayed the fourth slide, in which he made three demands. First, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign. Second, action should be taken against those who assaulted the students. Third, Prime Minister Modi should apologize to the students. (UPDATED ON 22ND JULY 2026)
