Monsoon Session is expected to be highly turbulent,All party meetingon 19th

The central government has called an all-party meeting on July 19, one day before the start of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. In this meeting, the central government will present the outline of its legislative agenda, while opposition parties will raise the issues they intend to bring up during the Monsoon Session. As is customary before every session of Parliament, this all-party meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. on July 19. The central government has several important bills on its agenda this time, and many significant bills may be introduced during the Monsoon Session.

However, this Monsoon Session is expected to be highly turbulent. On the other hand, several opposition parties have also witnessed splits and internal conflicts in recent times. After the defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, the TMC has also been going through political upheaval. Twenty TMC MPs have joined the National Citizens Party of India. They have requested to sit separately from the MPs of the Mamata Banerjee faction in the lower house of Parliament, the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, three TMC Rajya Sabha MPs have also resigned from the party and joined the BJP.

Similarly, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) has witnessed another split. Six UBT MPs in the Lok Sabha have joined the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Earlier, seven Rajya Sabha MPs from the Aam Aadmi Party had also joined the BJP.

It is believed that the opposition may raise several important issues during the Monsoon Session of Parliament, including the NEET-UG paper leak case. Earlier, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had announced that the Monsoon Session of Parliament would be held from July 20 to August 13, 2026. Kiren Rijiju had said that, on the recommendation of the Government of India, President Droupadi Murmu had approved convening the Monsoon Session of both Houses of Parliament. According to him, the session will begin on July 20 and continue until August 13 with the objective of holding meaningful discussions, debates, and decisions on issues of national importance.(updated on12th July 2026)
