Madhya Pradesh -Necessary Steps Will Be Taken in Interest of Guest Faculties:

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that one of the greatest strengths of Indian culture is its belief in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. He said that India has always prayed for the welfare of all, and that the ancient Gurukul system has been the cornerstone of the country’s rich educational tradition. The Guru-Shishya tradition has nurtured and shaped generations, and colleges continue to uphold this legacy. Guest faculties serving in these institutions are like priests of temples of learning, guiding and shaping the future of countless young people.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that, in recognition of the dedicated services of guest faculty, the State Government has taken several significant decisions for their welfare. He informed that the Government has constituted a high-level committee to examine all demands of guest faculty. The committee is yet to submit its recommendations, and once received, the Government will take all necessary and feasible steps in the interest of guest faculty serving in the Higher Education and Technical Education Departments.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the State-Level Atithi Vidwan (Guest Faculty) Sammelan at Ravindra Bhavan on Friday. He inaugurated the conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Guest faculty members serving in Government colleges under the Higher Education Department felicitated the Chief Minister for taking several innovative and dignified decisions for their welfare. They welcomed him by presenting a traditional angavastram and a Tulsi sapling.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that guest faculty are members of the State Government’s extended family and that the Government remains committed to their welfare. He said the high-level committee would also study systems implemented in other states so that Madhya Pradesh could adopt the most effective model..(UPDATED ON 10TH JULY 2026)
