MEA Welcomes Venezuela’s Acknowledgement Of Operation Amistad

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has thanked Venezuela for acknowledging India’s humanitarian assistance under Operation Amistad following the double earthquake on 24th June. In a social media post, Mr Jaishwal said that the relief mission reflected the enduring friendship between the two countries.

India had launched Operation Amistad to support Venezuela following devastating twin earthquakes of magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 that caused widespread destruction. (UPDATED ON 8TH JULY 2026)
