India and Indonesia focused on several key issues.

As part of his State Visit to Indonesia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was today warmly received by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto. Later India and Indonesia exchange of MoUs.

The two leaders held delegation-level talks to review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and discussed ways to expand cooperation in trade, defence, maritime security, digital technology, health, education and cultural exchanges. They also witnessed the exchange of several agreements following the talks.

Modi and Subianto reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during the talks in Jakarta. The two leaders also witnessed the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding covering defence, critical minerals, agriculture, steel, maritime cooperation and emerging technologies. They agreed to establish a branch campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore in Jakarta.

The two sides also agreed to enhance cooperation in manufacturing, food security and digital technology.

Addressing the joint press interaction, President Prabowo described India as a trusted strategic partner and welcomed the expansion of bilateral ties across key sectors.
