Piyush discusses with Head of Asset Strategy at A.P. Moller

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today discussed strengthening India’s maritime sector during his meeting with Head of Asset Strategy at A.P. Moller – Maersk Group, Ahmed Hassan. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that country’s maritime sector can be bolstered through investments in shipbuilding, container manufacturing, ship repair, and ship recycling. Mr Goyal said that he also exchanged views on enhancing India’s competitiveness as a global maritime and logistics hub through deeper industry collaboration.(UPDATED ON 2ND JULY 2026)
