Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal Launches UPI At Nice Massena In France

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has launched Unified Payments Interface (UPI) at Nice Massena in France. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that by bringing India’s world-class digital payments platform to one of France’s premier retail destinations marks another significant step in UPI’s global expansion.

He added that the initiative showcases India’s ability to deliver trusted, seamless, and interoperable digital solutions at scale. The Minister further noted that the launch is strengthening the economic and technological ties between India and France, reflecting the growing depth and ambition of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
