Deliberations On Role Of Legislatures In Nation Building During CPA India Zone II Conference
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today inaugurated the CPA India Region Zone-II Conference in the Haryana Legislature Assembly at Chandigarh. In this three-day event, legislators and presiding officers from across India will deliberate on significant topics like the role of Legislatures in the nation-building Viksit Bharat 2047, Artificial Intelligence and making democratic institutions more effective.
The Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh, and 13 Assembly Speakers, 4 Deputy Speakers and seven secretaries from 12 States and UTs, including Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, are participating in the conference.(UPDATED ON 8TH JUNE 2026)
