25 Political Parties Attended INDIA Bloc Meeting

INDIA bloc meeting was held in New Delhi this afternoon. Various opposition party leaders attended the meeting. It included Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee, Senior National Conference Leader Omar Abdullah and NCP-SP leader Supriya Sule. While some opposition parties, including Aam Aadmi Party and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam distanced themselves from the meeting.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge shared that 25 political parties attended the meeting. He noted that various issues were discussed and everyone shared their views during the meeting.
Mr Kharge further added that it was agreed that all parties of the INDIA bloc would meet every two months, and the next meeting is scheduled for August. He added that the next meeting will take place in Hyderabad, Telangana.
During the India Alliance meeting on Monday, Mamata Banerjee told opposition parties that they now have time. If the India Alliance wishes, it can utilize them. Trinamool Congress chief and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also raised the issue of how the BJP is splitting parties.
At the meeting, Rahul Gandhi warned allies against “pulling down each other” and urged them to fight together against the BJP “for the sake of the country and the Constitution”.
