Cooking gas prices increased; 14.2 kg cylinder becomes Rs 29 more expensive

Domestic gas cylinder prices in the country have once again been increased. The price of a 14.2 kg cylinder has gone up by ₹29. In Delhi, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has increased from ₹913 to ₹942. The new rate will come into effect from June 7. This is the second increase in domestic gas cylinder prices in three months. Due to rising global energy markets, government fuel retailers have been facing continuous challenges. As a result, prices of LPG, petrol, diesel, and other fuels have also increased. CNG has become more expensive as well.
The conflict in West Asia has disrupted global energy supplies. Because of this, fuel prices have risen in all countries. The greatest impact has been on countries that depended on oil or gas supplies through the Strait of Hormuz. India and neighboring countries have been seriously affected. According to sources, government oil companies were incurring a loss of approximately ₹703 on every cylinder sold. This is why prices have been increased.
After international fuel prices rose, LPG prices were increased on March 7. There was an increase of ₹60 per cylinder. Three months later, gas prices have again been raised by ₹29. In three months, the price of a 14.2 kg gas cylinder has increased by a total of ₹89.
