Modi in constant touch with world leaders to prevent Iran-US war

On one hand, there is a war going on between America, Iran and Israel, while on the other hand, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in constant touch with world leaders to stop this war.On other side, seperetely,Indian spokesman said that recent attacks on energy installations across the Gulf region are deeply disturbing and risk further destabilising an already uncertain global energy scenario. In a statement, External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that such attacks are unacceptable and need to cease. Briefing the media in New Delhi today, the External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson said that energy supply remains a major concern, with shipping routes also being impacted.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a conversation with President Emmanuel Macron of France to discuss the situation in West Asia and urgent need for de-escalation and return to dialogue and diplomacy. Shri Modi and President Macron looked forward to continuing their close coordination to advance peace and stability in the region and beyond.
He laso held a conversation with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia.Both leaders addressed the deeply concerning situation in West Asia and reaffirmed their shared commitment to de-escalation. Shri Modi and Prime Minister Ibrahim emphasized the importance of the early restoration of peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
The Prime Minister Modi held a productive conversation with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Omanand discuss the evolving situation in the region.Bboth leaders agreed on the need to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy for de-escalation and the subsequent restoration of peace and stability. The Prime Minister reiterated India’s condemnation of the violation of Oman’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while expressing appreciation for Oman’s efforts to facilitate the safe return of thousands of people, including Indian nationals. Shri Modi further emphasized that India and Oman stand for safe and free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
Shri Jaishwal said that LPG availability is under watch, adding that the government is prioritising domestic consumers while actively working to diversify energy sources. Mr Jaiswal said global leaders are in constant touch over the evolving situation in West Asia, and India has clearly conveyed its position on the issue. He added that energy assistance has been sought by neighbouring countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Talking about the Pakistani air strikes in Afghanistan, He said that India condemns such barbaric strikes, which target civilian infrastructure and cause a lot of misery to people. Talking about US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s statement on Pakistan, the spokesperson said that Pakistan has a history of clandestine nuclear proliferation.(updated on 19th March 2026
