Modi inaugurates AI Summit Expo, 100 countries are participating

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated AI Summit Expo. PM Modi witnessed and discussed new AI initiatives and prototypes from Bharat Zen to Sarvam AI and several startups.He visited various stalls at the inauguration of this AI Expo and appreciated the various AI related demonstrations.

All eyes are on the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from 16 February to 20 February, as technology leaders from around 100 countries are participating this summit. The event is being positioned as a major platform for the world’s largest companies seeking to expand their footprint in India, widely regarded as a critical growth market.

Among the most prominent attendees expected at the summit are Sam Altman, Chief Executive of OpenAI, and Sir Demis Hassabis, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Google DeepMind. Sundar Pichai, Chief Executive of Alphabet Inc. and Google, as well as Dario Amodei, Chief Executive of Anthropic, are also expected to participate

The Expo is expected to draw more than 2.5 lakh visitors, including international delegates, and aims to promote global partnerships and business opportunities within the artificial intelligence ecosystem. More than 500 sessions featuring over 3,250 speakers and panellists are scheduled during the event.

More than 600 high-potential start-ups are set to participate, many of which are already developing globally relevant, population-scale AI solutions deployed in real-world settings.

The Expo will span 10 arenas across more than 70,000 square metres and will host global technology firms, start-ups, academic institutions, research bodies, Union Ministries, State Governments and international partners.

Thirteen country pavilions will showcase international collaboration in artificial intelligence, with participation from Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan and several African nations.(updated on 16th feb 2026)
