COMBAT TERRORISM THROUGH CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

As part of India’s growing leadership in the global fight against terror financing, the Department of Revenue, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and the National Security Council Secretariat, organized a first-of-its-kind Capacity Building Programme for representatives of the Central Asian Republics (CARs) on “Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) through Cryptocurrencies, Crowdfunding, and Non-Profit Organizations” on 21st–22nd April 2025 in New Delhi.

This initiative reflects India’s commitment to international cooperation in combating the financing of terrorism, especially emerging threats through digital means and misuse of social structures.

This was stated by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs Nityanand Rai in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha.(UPDATED ON 3RD FEB 2026)
