European Union Is Vital Economic & Strategic Partner For India

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today said the sustained and constructive engagement between India and the European Union over the past year has brought the two sides closer to a fruitful outcome.

Welcoming European Commissioner for Trade Maroš šefčovič in India, Mr Goyal said in a social media post that the European Union is a vital economic and strategic partner for India. Mr Goyal underlined that India and the EU are committed towards building a mutually beneficial, ambitious India-EU FTA for the prosperity of businesses and people.(UPDATED ON 25TH JANUARY 2026)
