Govt ready for discussion on NEET, ,Rahul, Priyanka, and Akhilesh Yadav detained

Opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, who were staging a sit-in protest near the Prime Minister’s residence, have been detained by the Delhi Police. Before Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was also taken into custody by the police. Akhilesh Yadav had arrived with his MPs to support Rahul Gandhi. The police forcibly removed all three leaders from the protest site and took them to the police station. Meanwhile Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, The government is ready to discuss NEET and all issues related to the movement in Parliament.”
“According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, Rahul Gandhi was requested to end the protest because this is not a designated place for demonstrations. Holding a protest here is causing significant inconvenience to the general public.
He said, Rahul Gandhi stated that if the government agrees to discuss NEET and all issues related to the movement in Parliament, he will immediately end his protest. Rahul Gandhi was assured that his demand had been accepted. (UPDATED ON 21ST JULY 2026)
