Padma Award to Rohit Sharma/Harmanpreet

On the eve of Republic Day, the government released the list of 131 personalities selected for the Padma Awards, which includes the names of a total of 9 sportspersons from the world.This includes the name of Rohit Sharma, who led the Indian team to win the T20 World Cup in 2024.Apart from this, the name of Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is also included, under whose leadership Team India won the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup trophy played in the year 2025.(photo sources PIB)
