Union Minister Pabitra Margherita Meets Governor Of Gunma Prefecture, Japan, Ichita Yamamoto

Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita today met the Governor of Gunma Prefecture, Japan, Ichita Yamamoto. In a social media post, Mr Margherita said that the State-Prefecture engagement is a vital pillar of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership. He noted that the Governor of Gunma Prefecture is visiting India with a delegation of Japanese businesses and banks. He emphasised the need to deepen collaborations in the field of manufacturing, technology, mobility, SMEs, start-ups and next-generation infrastructure.(UPDATED ON 6TH FEB 2026)
