Election Commission of India dismissed vote tampering allegations

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday in a detailed statement dismissed vote tampering allegations leveled by the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The poll body’s response came after incumbent Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s TMC shared a CCTV footage on social media alleging tampering of ballots. Rejecting TMC’s claims, the election commission said that all strong rooms have been duly closed and sealed in the presence of candidates, election agents, and general observers after the completion of the poll yesterday (April 29)
