EAM Dr S Jaishankar Holds Meeting With Sudan and Libyan Counterpart

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held a meeting this afternoon with his Sudan counterpart, Salim Ahmed Ibrahim, in New Delhi. Dr Jaishankar reiterated India’s position for an end to violence in Sudan and return to dialogue. In a social media post, the External Affairs Minister said that they discussed the ongoing humanitarian support and exchanges in education and capacity building.

Dr S Jaishankar also met his Libyan counterpart Eltaher Elbaour in Delhi this afternoon. They held productive discussions on advancing cooperation in trade, business, infrastructure and energy domains.

Dr Jaishankar appreciated his briefing on the situation in Libya and underscored India’s advocacy of dialogue and diplomacy for enduring peace and stability in the region..(UPDATED ON 30TH JANUARY 2026)
